16,500 lumen LED for flashlights is not an exaggeration for once

Cree XFL10KX led

Called XFL10K, it has two cousins: the 14,247 lm XFL08K which comes in the same package, but with an 8.5mm lens, and the 7 x 7mm 8,335 lm XFL05K with a 6mm lens.

These are nominally 6V, that can handle drives of 32, 27 and 15A respectively.

All the performance figures above are maximums.

Cree XFL05KX ledTypical drive, according to Cree, is 4.2A for the XFL10K (typ ~4,200 lm), 3.15A for the XFL08K (typ ~3,200lm) and 1.75A for the XFL05K  (typ ~1,750 lm, left).

“Each of the XFL LEDs is optimised for specific flashlight lumen targets,” according to  Cree. “XFL05K, XFL08K and XFL10K target 5,000, 8,000 and 10,000 lm flashlight applications respectively.”

The whites are all cool, at 5,000, 5,700 or 6,500K, and all are 70CRI except the 5,000K XFL05K which comes in 70 (1,800 lm typ) or 80CRI (1,650 lm typ).
